General data protection information
This privacy policy is aimed at the users of our website. It is intended to provide information about nature, scope and purpose of data processing and use of personal data by us, the controller of schiebler-gmbh.de:
Ing. Rolf Schiebler GmbH
(Details and contact see legal notice)
We take data protection seriously and treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory provisions, in particular the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Data Protection Act (BDSG).
As new technologies, the ongoing development of this website and updates to the legal basis may result in changes to this privacy policy, we recommend that you read this privacy policy again at regular intervals. (At the very end of the privacy policy, you can see when we last updated this text.)
Definitions of the terms used here (e.g. ‘personal data’ or ‘processing’) can be found in Art. 4 GDPR.
Basic information on the handling of your data
The following principles apply to our handling of your personal data:
- We do not pass on your data to third parties. We deviate from this rule if we are obliged by law to pass on your data or if you have expressly consented to this.
- The rights of data subjects apply to all personal data collected by us, to which we would like to expressly draw your attention at this point and which are explained in detail further down on this page. (See section Rights you have to your data).
In the following sections of this privacy policy you can find out which personal data we collect, how it is transmitted, for what purposes we collect it and how long we store it.
Data transfer
The transmission of data to and from our website takes place exclusively by means of a secure, encrypted connection via the so-called ‘HyperText Transfer Protocol Secure’ (HTTPS). This prevents third parties reading the data transmission from understanding the content, using it for their own purposes or falsifying it. You can recognise the use of such transport encryption by the lock symbol in the address line of your Internet browser.
However, we would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet can be subject to security vulnerabilities. It is therefore not possible to guarantee the protection of data against access by third parties.
Access details
The website provider collects data on all access to the website on our behalf and on the basis of our legitimate interest as the website operator and stores this data as so-called ‘server log files’ on the website's Internet server. The following data is logged:
- Website visited
- Date and time at the time of access
- Amount of data sent
- Source/reference from which you reached the page
- Browser used
- Operating system used
- IP address used
We cannot assign this data to specific persons. This data is not merged with other data sources.
Our website provider stores server log files for a maximum of 7 days and then deletes them automatically. The data is stored for security reasons, e.g. to be able to investigate cases of misuse. If we have to retain data for legal reasons (e.g. for the purpose of preserving evidence), it is excluded from deletion until the incident has been finally clarified. There is a processing contract between our website provider based in Germany and us in accordance with Art. 28 ff. GDPR, which legally safeguards the data protection-compliant processing of your data.
Cookies
This website does not use so-called ‘cookies’.
Embedded content from other websites
Posts on our websites may display so-called ‘embedded content’ (e.g. an interactive map). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if the visitor had visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about visitors, attempt to use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking services and record your interaction with this embedded content if you have a user account with this provider and are logged in to their website.
On our website we also embed content from companies based in the USA. If this external content is active, your personal data may be forwarded to the US servers of the respective companies. We would like to point out that the USA is not a safe third country within the meaning of EU data protection law. US companies are obliged to disclose personal data to security authorities without you as the data subject being able to take legal action against this. It can therefore not be ruled out that US authorities may process, analyse and permanently store your data on US servers for monitoring purposes. We have no influence on these processing activities.
Google Maps
We use Google Maps on our websites to make it easier for website visitors to find their way to our company. This service is provided by Google. In Europe, the company Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street Dublin 4, Ireland) is responsible for Google services.
The map’s functionalities are initially inactive. Only when you activate the service by giving your consent, data transmission to Google will be enabled. If you do want to avoid this, we recommend that you do not activate the map.
Please note that Google, as a US company, may have to pass on your data to US authorities. (See note above.)
Interested parties who contact us
If you get in touch with us using the contact options provided (e-mail address or telephone number), we will store your data so that we can use them to process and respond to your enquiry.
Personal data in terms of this privacy policy could be your telephone number or your e-mail address. In addition, you may provide us with further personal data such as first and last names, postal addresses, your own website, etc. as part of the exchange of information (e.g. as part of an e-mail signature you use).
We may store all this prospective customer data for up to three years for the purpose of maintaining contact and get back to you at a later date. We will afterwards delete it in any case without further action unless you send us an informal request for deletion or correction of your personal data beforehand. (See also section Rights you have to your data).
Rights you have to your data
As a data subject, you have the right to request information free of charge about what personal data has been stored about you. You also have the right to have incorrect data rectified and to have the processing of your personal data restricted or deleted. If applicable, you may also assert your right to data portability. You also have the right to object to future processing of your data.
If you believe that your data has been processed unlawfully in contradiction to this privacy policy or in principle within the meaning of the GDPR, you can lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority, the Hessische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit.
Deletion and rectification of data
Unless your request conflicts with a legal obligation to retain data (e.g. data retention or statutory retention obligations), you have the right to have your data deleted. We will delete data stored by us if it is no longer required for its intended purpose and if there are no legal requirements for storage.
If we are not permitted to carry out such erasure because the data is required for authorised legal purposes, data processing will be restricted; in this case, we will block the data and not process it for purposes other than those prescribed by law.
The same applies to the rectification of data that is not (or no longer) correct. You can request a correction at any time.
Right to object
Users of this website can object to the processing of their personal data for the future at any time.
If you wish to correct, block, delete or obtain information about the personal data stored about you, or if you have questions regarding to processing or use of your personal data, or if you wish to revoke any consent you have given, you can send us your request informally in writing, electronically or verbally. The quickest and most secure way to submit your request is to use the following e-mail address: info_at_schiebler-gmbh.de
